About Maria
I am of Italian American background and began with Italian, but unfortunately there aren't many Italians here in Arizona, so I was immediately drawn into the Spanish community through dancing salsa. I've traveled to Hispanic countries 9 times, and studied in Mexico, however the Dominican Republic is my country of choice and been there 4 times. I've been teaching art for 25 years in the public school system, and taught languages on the side for several of those years. I have a passion for teaching and guiding others so therefore have a very big heart for children, I have 4 of my own!
