Methodology

I am a freelance trombonist with lots of enthusiasm for performance and teaching. With lots of experience, I intend to pass on the qualities I've learnt throughout the years onto all my students and ensure they enjoy making music.

- How much do you charge?

£17.50 per half hour
£35 per hour

- Where do you teach?

I teach at my flat in Berkhamstead, or can travel to pupil if not too far and discussed beforehand.

- When are you available?

Flexible hours in the week and weekend, including any term holidays.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

I teach all ages
All brass up to Grade 8+, Flute and Clarinet up to grade 5.

- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?

ABRSM, Guildhall and Trinity exams

- What kind of experience do you have?

Performance:
I am a freelance trombonist. Recently I've worked with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, Halle Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of Opera North and the Royal Northern Sinfonia. I also play in West End productions on a regular basis.

Taken master-classes for British Trombone Society – All ages and levels
Tutor for Halle education - SHINE
Brass teacher – Sandwell Music and Arts Service – Present
Individual and group teaching, conducting beginner groups
Private teaching for 8 years
Educational tours to Japan, Thailand and Vietnam – School teaching
Trombone teacher at Xaverian College, 2011- 2012
Woodwind teacher up to Grade 5
Mec1 Course (RNCM course) – 2011
Work Experience (Sandwell Youth Music) – 2005
