About Sofia ines
I am a first-year undergraduate student studying Engineering at Durham University. I was born and raised in Spain, but with a British mother. Therefore, I grew up bilingual. This makes me well-suited to teaching Spanish, as I not only speak it fluently but also have a deep and complex understanding of the language, having completed both the Spanish National Baccalaureate and the International Baccalaureate. Beyond my Spanish skills, I am also fluent in English, which is now my primary language as I live and study in the UK, meaning that I will have no problem when communicating with you. Apart from my academic background, I would describe myself as kind, enthusiastic, and patient, with a strong ability to listen and understand others. My passion for teaching goes beyond simply delivering content, it’s about fostering understanding and supporting the learning process with patience. I believe in creating a positive and engaging environment where we can both learn from each other. As your teacher, I am committed to making lessons accessible, adapting to your needs, and ensuring you feel confident in your learning journey.
