About Tsoi Yu
I am a dedicated music instructor with over 8 years of experience delivering both dynamic group classes and tailored individual piano lessons. Having started the piano at age 4 and earning my professional diploma level (Trinity ATCL) at 17, I deeply understand the dedication required to master an instrument. I am proud to offer trilingual tuition, with full fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. While my teaching style is encouraging and warm, I do believe in maintaining a disciplined and structured learning environment. I want my students to experience the true reward of steady progress; therefore, customized weekly homework, practice goals, and theory worksheets are consistently provided to ensure successful learning continues at home.

Every lesson is structured to provide a comprehensive and balanced musical education, typically including:

• Parent Communication: A dedicated 3-5 minutes debrief at the end of each session to keep you fully updated on your child’s learning progress and home practice goals.
Lessons focus on building strong core foundations while being completely tailored to each student's goals—whether preparing for graded examinations (ABRSM/Trinity), upcoming music competitions, or learning for leisure.

My hourly rate reflects my professional Trinity ATCL Diploma qualification, bilingual capabilities, and extensive school-based teaching experience. The fee covers: 1. Travel expenses and transit time to your address. 2. Tailored lesson preparation, sheet music curation, and homework marking. 3. Post-lesson progress updates for parents. Terms: • Fixed Slots: Termly or block booking is highly recommended to secure your preferred weekly afternoon slot. • Cancellations: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for any lesson changes or cancellations; otherwise, the full fee will be requested.
