About Sema
Hello! I graduated from Bilkent University’s Faculty of Music and Performing Arts and I am currently continuing my education in a master’s program. Throughout my education, I have had the opportunity to study in an international environment and communicate with people from different countries.
I have been studying English for more than 16 years, starting from primary school, and I have also had lessons with native and international teachers. I actively use English in daily communication as well as in academic and professional settings. In particular, my international education and professional experiences in music have given me the opportunity to use English in real-life communication, rather than learning it only theoretically.
I have experience teaching both children and adults at different levels. I also provide guidance, information, and useful tips for students preparing for the IELTS exam, as well as speaking practice for those who want to improve their conversational English.
In my lessons, I create a personalized program based on the student’s level, age, goals, and individual needs. We identify areas that need improvement and shape the lessons accordingly. My goal is to help students understand English and use it confidently in real-life situations rather than simply memorizing grammar rules and vocabulary.

My English lessons are suitable for students aged 6 and above. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level, age, goals, and learning needs.
Depending on the student’s needs, we can work on vocabulary, basic and advanced grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing. I especially focus on helping students actively use what they learn and gain confidence through plenty of speaking practice.
With beginners, we start from the basics and progress step by step. With more advanced students, we can focus on speaking practice, vocabulary development, grammar, academic English, IELTS preparation, or any specific areas they would like to improve.
For children, I use age-appropriate, engaging, and interactive methods to make English a natural and enjoyable part of their learning process.
Whenever possible, lessons are conducted in English to help students develop familiarity with the language and improve their listening and speaking skills. However, especially with young children and complete beginners, I provide explanations in Turkish whenever necessary to make sure the subject is fully understood.
I use different learning resources and materials according to the student’s level and needs, and I place great importance on plenty of practice.
My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, students who want to support their school education, those who want to improve their speaking skills, students preparing for IELTS, and anyone who wants to improve their English for academic, professional, or everyday communication.

Kızım piyano dersi almaya başladı ve derslerden çok memnunuz. Sema’nın çocuklarla iletişimi gerçekten çok güzel. Kızıma karşı sabırlı ve anlayışlı davranıyor, dersleri onun yaşına ve seviyesine göre eğlenceli bir şekilde ilerletiyor. Kızım ders günlerini heyecanla bekliyor ve evde kendi isteğiyle piyano çalışmaya başladı. Kısa sürede nota okumada ve piyano çalmada gelişme gördük. Çocuklara piyano eğitimi için kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.
Sema ile müzik eğitimi aracılığıyla tanıştım. Sabırlı, güler yüzlü ve öğrencisinin ihtiyaçlarını önemseyen bir öğretmen. Derslerde konuları anlaşılır şekilde anlatıyor ve bolca pratik yaptırıyor. Birlikte çalıştığımız süre boyunca kendimi birçok açıdan geliştirdim. Hem yeni başlayanlara hem de kendini geliştirmek isteyenlere kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.
Çok memnunum, bir süre ders aldım. Hiç müzik bilgim olmamama rağmen çok güzel yerlere geldim. Bir çok kaynak kullanması güzel bir şey. Öneririm.
Gerçekten çok memnun kaldım. Bu mesleğin içinden birisi öğretince gerçekten çok fark ediyor. Ben kızımı konservatuvar sınavlarına hazırlansın diye ders aldırmaya başlamıştım. İyi ki de yapmışım. Teşekkürler
