About Jacob
As an active biochemistry researcher, I use science and math every day to solve real-world problems. STEM subjects are tough and can feel like a foreign language, but once you understand the logic behind the equations, the anxiety disappears.
I graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry (3.87 GPA) and minors in Mathematics, Physics, Business, and Ballroom Dance. My goals are both to help you get an "A" on the next test AND help you think like a scientist so you can handle whatever the professor throws at you next.

I believe the best way to learn is by breaking complex problems down into manageable steps. Because I work in research, I specialize in helping students who understand the concepts but get stuck on the application, whether that's setting up a stoichiometry problem, analyzing data for a Lab Report, or connecting physics principles to biological systems.
I value being thorough and efficient in lesson planning. To help our lessons go smoothly, I'll have you send me the homework or questions you want help with a day in advance. We can meet digitally or in person (if location permits), whatever suits your needs the best. I look forward to helping you succeed!
