My teaching methods will vary depending on the age of the student. If I am working with a GCSE student I'd want to identify their strengths and weaknesses within biology and address the weaknesses by further explaining concepts and then focussing on practice questions within that area. I would also encourage revision methods that have helped me throughout my academic career.
I am a second year Biological Sciences student at the Royal Veterinary College (Achieved a gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework). I am very passionate in biology and aim to help students gain a thorough understanding. I have work experience in both Primary and Secondary schools and I am a trained STEM ambassador. In addition to this both my parents are teachers so I consider myself very familiar with a variety of teaching methods. I volunteer at a Brownie group and have a sister of GCSE age so I consider myself very confident in interacting with children of a variety of ages.
