My approach to tutoring is student-centred and concept-based, focusing on building a strong foundation in biology rather than rote memorisation. I begin each topic by explaining the basic concepts in a simple and logical manner, followed by diagrams, real-life examples, and clinical or practical correlations wherever applicable. I regularly assess students’ understanding through interactive questioning, short quizzes, and problem-solving sessions, ensuring clarity before moving to advanced topics. I also provide exam-oriented guidance, including important questions, MCQ practice, and revision strategies.
Teaching Techniques and Methods
Conceptual explanation using diagrams and flowcharts
Step-by-step breakdown of complex biological processes
Use of previous years’ questions and exam-focused discussions
Regular doubt-clearing and revision sessions
Personalised teaching pace based on the student’s learning ability
Typical Length of a Lesson
A typical lesson lasts 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s level and the complexity of the topic. Longer sessions are planned for revision, test discussions, or competitive exam preparation.
Qualifications and Experience
I have a strong academic background in Biology/Life Sciences with experience in university students, as well as guiding students for thesis.
