About Francesca

I’m a friendly and enthusiastic Biotechnology graduate from the University of Edinburgh, where I achieved a First-Class degree. I enjoy sharing my interest in Biology and helping students understand challenging topics. My aim is to make lessons supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s goals.
A little about me I also love sewing and creative design !

About the lesson

I provide clear, personalised Biology lessons tailored to each student’s level, learning needs, and exam board. I use simple explanations, diagrams, worked examples, active questioning, and exam style practices to build understanding and confidence.

Lessons will usually last 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student’s needs.

I have a First-Class BSc in Biotechnology from the University of Edinburgh, with experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, plant biotechnology, laboratory research, data analysis, and scientific communication. I use my background to explain scientific concepts accurately and make them accessible.

I tutor GCSE Biology as well as A-level Biology students. I can support students with understanding difficult topics, preparing for tests and exams, improving exam technique, analysing data, and developing clearer written answers.
