About Shilpa
I have been tutoring for around 3 years from GCSE and primary level to A level discovering different ways of helping students build confidence in their subject and ultimately climbing grades. I have tutored around 11 students so far from SEN students with hearing and speech impediments to failing students who needed that extra hand. I had one particular student who was studying for their history GCSE and was at an E grade and in the final result managed to get an amazing A grade and considered taking the subject further to A level because they enjoyed it so much. I believe in not just delivering a great session but also being able to communicate with the student and making them comfortable!

Contrary to belief students can't always learn everything from a textbook or re reading their notes, sometimes a student needs a push and to be shown that learning their subject can be more exciting and engaging than they thought! As a tutor I like to use different methods to consolidate understanding such as videos, boardwalk, diagrams, posters and more. I do lessons in 1 hour blocks focused around breaking down difficult concepts and then understanding examiners and exam practice. Every student has their own way to learn and I am certain every student can achieve their dream Grades.
