About Jennifer
Music has been my passion from a young age, it has brought me many opportunities and given me many transferable skills. I took my grade 8 cello at the age of 14, and grade 8 piano at 16, while studying at the junior department of the Royal Academy of London, and did my degree at Birmingham Conservatoire. I perform regularly in a professional string quartet and also enjoy occasional recording work in addition to my teaching.

Based in Alrewas (between Lichfield and Burton-on-Trent). Experienced teaching all ages from 6 to retirement, I am equally happy preparing students for exams or just for fun. From beginner to post grade 8. I believe in developing the whole person, helping you to achieve the full benefits that learning an instrument can give you, whatever your reason for wanting to learn. This includes helping you make the most of your practice, and helping you develop wider aural and musicianship skills. I can also provide piano accompanying for my cello pupils in exams if this is desired.

Perfect! She’s very kind and encouraging and paces lessons very comfortably. Her knowledge and passion for music are very evident and she finds ways to break down complex concepts so that even absolute beginners find learning accessible. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a teacher
