About Courtney
As a flute tutor with more than 9 years of experience, I am passionate about helping students achieve their musical goals. I teach flute to school children, college students, and working professionals who want professional or hobby-based learning. My teaching method is practical and student-centred.
I focus on posture alignment, breath control, tone consistency, finger accuracy, and rhythm stability. I combine practical training with music theory, scale practice, improvisation basics, and ear training to build complete musical understanding. I provide structured lesson plans and regular progress assessments.
My special strength is building stage confidence and helping students overcome performance fear. I believe music learning should build creativity, discipline, and self-expression.

My teaching philosophy for flute is based on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity to ensure steady and confident progress.
Each lesson is carefully structured. I begin with breathing drills and tone exercises, followed by scale practice and articulation work. This builds technical strength and sound consistency. As students improve, I introduce expressive elements such as dynamics, phrasing, and vibrato.
I adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles. Demonstrations, written notes, and guided repetition help reinforce understanding.
Flexibility allows adjustments in lesson pace. Whether preparing for examinations or learning as a hobby, I customise lesson goals.
Collaboration makes sessions interactive. Students are encouraged to participate actively and evaluate their own progress.
Positivity creates a safe environment where mistakes are treated as learning opportunities. In addition to flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm studies, sight-reading, and performance confidence techniques.
