About Rodney
Hi! My name is Roddy.
I have been teaching English and Economics for many years and would like to invite you or your child, if you have one, to become my student. I am especially good with homeschoolers, business professionals, and legal immigrants aspiring to US citizenship.
I have taught in the US, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and Germany for extended periods. As a result, I am familiar with a whole host of languages and cultures and am also available online to overseas second language learners.
As a native speaker of English who has acquired good to excellent fluency in German, French, and Japanese, and as someone who has studied Spanish, Korean, Cantonese, and Arabic, and several computer languages, I have an excellent understanding of language in general that is very useful to students having trouble overcoming difficult linguistic barriers.
What is more, I don't just teach. I write, am published, and even develop and host several online platforms. In other words, there is a very practical aspect to the knowledge that I share, and I make a concerted effort to insure that what I teach is adapted to the needs of both parents and my students.

Perfect! I believe Roddy shows great passion with grammar. He is very good at explaining the rules and terminology to myself and my daughter. It’s a whole language that we are learning, and it’s complex, and seems confusing at first, but Roddy helps us understand!
