About Mariana

I’m a born and raised Brazilian who flew to India before turning 30 to begin exploring the world through the lens of language, culture, and connection. Since then, I’ve taught in international schools, coordinated a language department for IGCSE levels, and currently bring my passion for teaching to a dynamic new school in the heart of India — Nagpur. What drives me is a love for diversity, cultures, and, above all, nuances — the subtle ways language reflects identity, emotion, and belonging. I believe language is more than a tool; it’s a bridge that connects people across borders and perspectives. Through every lesson, I aim to make that bridge visible and real.

About the lesson

My teaching method is rooted in purpose and cultural connection. Each lesson begins by answering a simple but powerful question: Why do you need to learn this? From there, I bring in real, culturally-driven examples that ground the content in everyday life. Lessons flow naturally from understanding to practice through targeted exercises, conversation, and guided reflection.

A typical lesson includes:

- Purpose setting and real-world relevance
- Cultural and contextual examples
- Practice exercises to build accuracy
- Open conversation for fluency and confidence
- Brief reflection to reinforce learning

What sets me apart is my deep cultural sensitivity and ability to tailor each session to the learner’s context whether you're a student, a professional, or simply someone curious about Brazilian culture and language. With years of experience teaching English and Portuguese abroad, I know how to make language come alive for any level or background.

My lessons are ideal for:

- University students
- Professionals seeking language for work or travel
- Language lovers interested in Brazilian life, literature, and communication

Let’s learn with meaning, not just memorization.
