About Larissa
Olá! I’m Larissa, a native Brazilian Portuguese teacher based in California.
I specialize in helping adult learners communicate confidently in real-life situations — not just memorize grammar rules.
My lessons follow a clear, structured curriculum designed specifically for Brazilian Portuguese. Each level builds progressively so you always know what you're learning and why.
With me, you will:
• Speak from the very first lesson
• Learn practical Portuguese for travel, relationships, and everyday life
• Understand grammar in a simple, logical way
• Practice through guided role-play and real conversations
• Gain cultural insight that helps you sound natural
I combine native intuition, strong English communication skills, and a structured teaching framework to help you progress with clarity and confidence.
Whether you're preparing for a trip to Brazil, connecting with Brazilian family, or building long-term fluency, my classes are organized, engaging, and goal-oriented.
If you're ready to learn Brazilian Portuguese in a practical and structured way — I’d love to work with you.
Let’s make your Portuguese real, confident, and natural.

My lessons are structured, practical, and communication-focused.
I use a level-based curriculum (A1–B1+) designed specifically for Brazilian Portuguese, so each class builds naturally on the previous one. You’ll always know what you’re learning and how it connects to your overall progress.
Every lesson includes:
• Clear explanation of new structures
• Guided practice
• Real-life role-play
• Speaking time from the very first session
• Strategic review to reinforce retention
I personalize the content to your goals — travel, relationships, relocation, or long-term fluency — while keeping a clear progression plan.
Learning with me means developing real confidence, not just completing exercises.

Larissa is a wonderful teacher. I’ve always struggled with learning languages due to my ADD, but with Larissa, everything felt easier and more approachable. She is very patient, knowledgeable, and always finds creative ways to explain things so they really stick. Her encouragement made me feel confident and motivated to keep learning. I’m really grateful for her support and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dedicated and caring teacher.
I believe Larissa is a trustworthy teacher because she consistently demonstrates professionalism, kindness, and integrity in her work. She is always well-prepared, communicates clearly, and treats me with respect and patience. Larissa follows through on her commitments and creates a safe, positive environment where students feel supported to learn and grow. Her reliability and genuine care for her students make her someone you can depend on and trust completely.
Larissa is an amazing teacher! I already knew a bit of Portuguese, but I was too shy to start a conversation. With her help, I’m now feeling much more confident!
