About Brian
I have over 40 years of international, commercial, and managerial experience focused on; business development, contract negotiation, legal and compliance plus staff training and mentoring.
I acquired some formal teaching qualifications a few years ago which since my 2019 retirement, have been put to good use by pursuing a new career and passion as an English (ESOL) tutor.
I am currently tutoring 5 students on an on-line, one – 2 – one basis using a grammar-based format, tailored to their individual career paths and lifestyle.

I am currently preparing 2 of my Polish students for their AQA GCSE English papers, using the proscribed syllabus as a guide. To cover other essential topics, I have devised the lesson plans myself using a traditional grammar base, supplemented with vocabulary relevant to their, profession, industry, interests, lifestyle, and hobbies.
All students are given weekly home study assignments to complete and are provided with the material in advance for each lesson, to prepare for class discussion and tests.
There is always a fun element to each session as I hold the view that people’s ability to learn grows exponentially with enjoyment. I have an eclectic range of hobbies and interests ranging from rugby to ballet all of which play a part in the topics which are covered in my lesson plans.
