About Kate
As an enthusiastic Violin tutor with 5 years of experience and approximately 150 students trained, I am dedicated to helping learners discover their full musical potential. My lessons are carefully structured to balance discipline with enjoyment. I focus on strengthening essential skills such as posture correction, bow coordination, finger strength, tone clarity, and rhythm consistency.
Once students build a strong foundation, I gradually guide them into more advanced repertoire and expressive playing techniques. I tailor every lesson to suit individual learning speeds and musical goals, ensuring that progress remains steady and motivating.
I also incorporate basic music theory and ear training to enhance overall musicianship. My unique strength lies in simplifying complex techniques into easy, actionable steps. My mission is to shape confident, skilled, and passionate violinists who take pride in their musical growth.

I believe that learning violin should be practical, inspiring, and systematic. My teaching style focuses on strong communication and understanding the student’s pace. I adapt my methods depending on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner.
I provide detailed guidance in posture correction, finger placement, tone clarity, dynamic control, and expressive playing. Alongside violin technique, I teach music theory, rhythm training, ear training, sight reading, improvisation basics, and music history.
I use examples from real performance experiences such as school programs, competitions, graded exams, and orchestra rehearsals. This practical connection helps students gain confidence on stage. My goal is to help students become technically skilled and emotionally expressive musicians.
