Hey! I take a friendly, understanding approach to teaching - I know just how stressful learning something new can be so I try to create a comfortable learning environment by really getting to know my students, learning their strengths and weaknesses and trying to work with them to reach a goal. I am educated to A-Level standards in French, Psychology and Drama and have worked as a teacher with a theatre company in Oxford for a few years since taking a break from my own education. I now live in the Bristol area and am more than happy to open my home to students - everyone has different methods of learning so I try to accommodate that as much as possible. I am also willing to travel (within reason) to my students/meet in a cafe to study. I understand how difficult exam time can be so I try and take a holistic approach to learning and can provide meditation and mindfulness classes if needs be in order to quell any anxiety which may be there. I believe exam success comes from not only preparation but self confidence so that is something I really try to work on with my students. "Believe and you will achieve" or something to that effect!
I have been giving lessons in workshops and groups for around three years now, however I have only done one-on-one tutoring with a few students. The students I have taught on a one-to-one basis have all had excellent results, which is something I am incredibly proud of and wouId love to do more of.
