About Kothai
My name is Kothai Anbarasan, and I'm currently a 2nd year medical student at the University of Bristol.
Having achieved 2950 in the UCAT (av. 737.5) and 4/4 medical offers, I have navigated through the competitive application for medical school, allowing me to gain experience and guidance for aspiring medical students.
I'm also passionate to teach Chemistry GCSE and A level, Biology and Maths GCSE- having had a tutor myself in the past, I understand the importance of good teaching, through doing exam questions, understanding harder topics and applying the knowledge, I can help you achieve the top grades!

About the lesson

My teaching method follows 4 steps: understand, memorise, retain, then practise and apply, and I aim to tailor it to each student's needs.
I will make a personalised study plan based on the students' weaker areas or worries, provide easy-to-understand explanations and help the student build a strong foundation on the specific topic. Finally I will test the students' knowledge; this could include asking the student to explain the topic back to me in simple terms, or answering exam-style questions.
I aim to utilise more practice questions and exam papers, and go through weaker topics based on the students' understanding and ability to answer the questions.
Lessons will typically be an hour but can be 1-2 hours depending on the students' request.
I have worked as a tutor at Kumon tutoring centre, been an MMI examiner for the Medic Portal, and currently I work as a school tutor on the MyTutor platform.
The lessons will be for students studying for GCSEs or A levels, or those who want to sit the UCAT this summer.
