About Jasmine
I’m a British-born language tutor with a degree in Modern Foreign Languages (Portuguese and Spanish). I speak Portuguese fluently and live most of the year in Rio de Janeiro with my partner, who is Brazilian. My immersion in Brazilian daily life gives me a deep, authentic understanding of the language as it's actually spoken — something I bring into every lesson. I believe that a genuine love for the culture is key to gaining fluency and confidence in speaking. That’s why my lessons go beyond grammar and vocabulary — I incorporate Brazilian literature, music, university-level texts, and everyday expressions to make learning both effective and inspiring.
