About Emily
I give private English lessons via Skype or FaceTime for all ages and abilities. The content of the lessons is customized to your individual needs and objectives (e.g. speaking, grammar, schoolwork, preparing for TOEFL, IELTS qualifications, etc.). After each class I will send you a task to complete by email and I will correct it for you before the next class.
We will work with transcriptions, texts from various sources in order to study a wide range of vocabulary, your pronunciation, and writing skills.

Hello! I'm Emily and I'm originally from the U.K. but have lived in Lisbon, Portugal for over 3 years. I am an English and Music teacher for pre-school children up to the age of 8 at a local school, and have taught English privately for over 10 years.
I have lived in France, Spain and Chile in the last 10 years and I understand perfectly the challenges when it comes to learning a new language. I have developed different strategies for attaining a good level in 3 foreign languages (oral and written) that I like to share with my students.
I am passionate about foreign languages and believe that learning a new language is one of Life's greatest gifts! I really like helping people improving their skills in English and I hope that we will have fun in the process!
