Lessons are student focussed, and tailored to your musical interests and needs. I believe that technicality and music theory are important, but only in if they are taught in a context that is music and joy focussed. Lessons will always aim to be relevant to YOU!
I have worked with students of all ages and abilities, so absolute beginners to advanced players are welcome. I teach bass guitar, electric guitar, classical guitar, acoustic guitar, as well as composition and music production. All styles are styles are available, but my particular strengths are pop, jazz, rock, funk, and R&B.
I have 15 years of guitar tutoring experience and working as a professional musician. I have played in many pop bands, corporate bands, jazz acts, improvised ensembles, and contemporary classical. Across this time I have had the privilege of working with over 80 private students. In addition to this, I have conducted, arranged for, and composed for high school Guitar Ensembles.
I also have Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long. I offer online, and face to face is negotiable. Private or group lessons are available.
