About Katerina
Katerina McCrimmon was born and raised in Miami, FL and fell in love with theater at the ripe age of 8 years old. After discovering this passion, she attended various performing arts schools in Miami for Musical Theater and graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater. Katerina is a Presidential Scholar in the Arts and National YoungArts Winner in Theater. She performed at the Kennedy Center in 2016 under the direction of Debbie Allen where her performance of "People" was a highlight. In the Fall of 2019, she was discovered by Marisa Tomei and made her Broadway debut in the Tennessee Williams revival of The Rose Tattoo, making her childhood dream a reality. When Katerina isn’t performing, she loves to teach, cook, paint, and write music. She currently resides in Sunnyside with her husband, Matias.

I strongly believe everyone can sing - it just takes a little practice and a lot of patience!
My lessons are fun and casual, but focused. We will always work with the student's specific goals and desired style of singing. A lesson will usually consist of a warm up (vocalization and ear training) and repertoire (working on a new song every month or so).
I also teach acting and have performed on Broadway in the Tennessee Williams play, The Rose Tattoo. I can coach you on existing material, or start with the basics of acting. We will always take our time and make sure the student feels confident in sharing their progress!

Katerina is phenomenal. She is very patient and great at preparing her students vocally for auditions, roles in plays/musicals etc. She is very accommodating and very reasonable when it comes to her time and cost of lessons.
