About Rafael
Hi! I’m Raf, a BSN-prepared Registered Nurse and nursing graduate who understands firsthand how challenging nursing school can be. I recently went through the same exams, clinicals, care plans, and NCLEX preparation that many nursing students are navigating now.
I currently work as a NICU RN, and I’m passionate about continuing to grow as a nurse while helping other students along the way. I know that nursing concepts can sometimes feel overwhelming or unnecessarily complicated, so I enjoy breaking things down into a way that feels easier to understand and apply.
I’m patient, approachable, and I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions without feeling judged. Whether you’re struggling with a specific concept or just need help becoming more confident with nursing questions, I’m happy to work through it with you!
Outside of nursing, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our cats, traveling, gaming, and talking about pretty much anything that interests me. I’m looking forward to getting to know you and helping you succeed in nursing school!

My lessons are focused on helping nursing students understand the “why” behind what they’re learning instead of simply memorizing information. As a BSN-prepared RN, I know how overwhelming nursing school can be, especially when you’re trying to connect a lot of information at once.
I’ll work with you to identify what you’re struggling with, break difficult concepts down into simpler pieces, and practice applying them to NCLEX-style questions and real nursing situations. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, reviewing a difficult topic, working through practice questions, or just need someone to help things finally click, we’ll tailor each lesson to what you need.
My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more confident, more prepared, and with a better understanding of how to think like a nurse.
