About Salim
I have been a teacher and provided private tuition for over nine years now living in North London.
I have a Business background and worked in the City for a number of years, therefore I can provide in depth knowledge of the economy and the business world. I am an avid reader and enthusiast of business and economics and pass this passion onto my students.
Having gained a Business degree, I specialise in Business and Economics, with a strong understanding of Finance and Accounting. I am experienced in teaching pupils at GCSE and A-Levels and cater my program to the needs of the student.
I travel to the home of students mainly in North London and around or can offer online lessons. I find that students find it more inspiring and rewarding if they are in a comfortable environment where they can excel.
I specialise in getting the best out of students by providing tailored tuition to suit their personality and ability. I achieve this by setting SMART goals from the start and producing worksheets and resources suited to the student and their ability.
My lessons are usually a mixture of the following methods for students:
Covering topic area with worked examples
Completing questions set by Tutor
Optimising student`s answers
Explaining homework
Preparing for next week`s lesson with feedback
I have a proven track record of helping pupils who are underachieving obtain their target grade. This just shows that it is possible for students to achieve the grades they need to succeed. This is achieved through a range of study techniques, tailored academic direction and dedication.
