About Kevin
Hello, my name is Kevin, I have been teaching English online full time for three years now and have many years of experience with languages. I am passionate about languages and cultural exchange, and I offer professional friendly lessons. I am a dual UK-German citizen who grew up in a bilingual home in Scotland. Therefore, I speak German and, as a result of self learning and life experiences, I also speak intermediate French and beginner Levantine Arabic. Before starting tutoring, I spent two years travelling and working in Humanitarian and Development NGOs in Malawi, Zambia, South Africa, Lebanon and Greece. Prior to this, I worked for seven years in the public sector while living in Scotland's capital, Edinburgh. I have a very wide range of personal interests like social and environmental justice, sustainable living, business, technology, finance, health, sports, travel and culture.

I have extensive experience of teaching adults and children at intermediate and also beginner level on other platforms and also in a humanitarian community school in Lebanon. In most cases, my lessons combine speaking practice and structured learning. The speaking part is essential for practice, confidence, pronunciation, and reducing mistakes, and it is also a great way for students and teachers to get to know each other. I offer a variety of structured learning options focusing on important English grammar, vocabulary and sentence construction, using exercises, reading materials and listening resources.
I have over 4 years of teaching experience and hold a teaching qualification from Preply, a similar online teaching platform.
