Listening always comes first when learning Chinese. Different students have different progress. Some have to learn Chinese from basic and others may have slight or more understanding of the language. My approach is to treat different learners differently which all depends on how well is their listening, how much they know about the pronunciation of each character, how fast they learn and are they able to adapt the knowledge from what they learn. It is not easy to learn Chinese and the process maybe very boring, but I will make it pleasant by using visual images, story-telling, relevant examples and encouragement to make lessons vivid and enjoyable. I am a hard-working, most importantly a patient and passionate individual who would like to pass the knowledge of Chinese language to others.
