Methodology

My teaching method is to first teach the topics that the children are struggling to understand in school and once they understand them I teach all of the other topics that the school covers but at a higher standard (11 plus standard). I also give a lot of exam practice and go through the papers in detail to make sure that the students understand the concepts. In the first lesson I would give the students a test to see what topics they understand and what they need to work on and their understanding of the basic concepts that I would expect them to understand at their age, then I would establish the lesson plans and curriculum for the next 3 months and give it to the students. The lesson structure would be that for the first part is to give the students a quick test of the previous lesson’s topics, mark their homework and give them feedback, teach the content that is supposed to be delivered in the lesson, then give them exam practice questions to test their understanding on the content and then explaining the homework for the next lesson.
