About Caitlin

Since young, maths was always my favourite subject due to the methodical and rewarding nature of the subject. I achieved 9 in GCSE maths, 9 in GCSE further maths (with a high score of 155/160) and a score of 350 in the 11+. I would love to help students work through difficult problems and help them view this subject as easier. In sixth form, I am currently studying A level maths. I have experience working with kids: volunteer as a mentor in a primary school, babysitting etc.

About the lesson

I will cater the lesson to directly help improve the student’s weaker areas to make progress significant. I hope to build a safe relationship with my student in order for them to be honest with their thought process behind questions and to take on feedback productively. When taking on a new student, if specific weak topics aren’t given to focus on, I will set a test that will reveal these weak areas and gaps in knowledge that I will guide them to fill and to walk into exams confidently. Lessons would consist of working through questions together but also being taught/retaught topics that I feel haven’t been fully grasped.
