About Jane

I know exactly how hard this journey is. I completed my entire legal education part time, alongside full time work and military service, juggling lecture notes with early morning shifts, case law with army administration, and advocacy practice with everything life threw at me in between. Nobody made it easy. I figured most of it out on my own.

That is precisely why I want to teach.

I am naturally curious, creative, and deeply people focused. I genuinely light up when a concept finally clicks for someone, when the anxiety around an exam starts to lift, or when a student who was convinced they could not do it submits work they are proud of.

I am the kind of person who thinks around problems rather than just through them. I bring imagination and emotional intelligence to every session, which means I do not just explain the law. I help you find your own way into it, in a way that actually makes sense to you specifically.

I have been where you are. I know the panic before a resit. I know what it feels like to read a question and go completely blank. I know how isolating the BPC can feel when everyone around you seems to be coping and you are not sure you are.

I am here to make your journey smoother than mine was. Let me be the tutor I wish I had.

My tutoring sessions are tailored entirely to the student. Whether you are struggling with a specific module, preparing for an exam, or want to sharpen your advocacy and written skills, we start by identifying exactly where you need support and build from there.

I focus on practical understanding over rote learning — breaking down complex legal principles into clear, structured frameworks that you can actually apply in assessments and practice. For BPC students I use real case scenarios, mock opinion writing exercises, and exam technique drills that reflect exactly what assessors are looking for. For undergraduate students I focus on essay structure, legal reasoning, and argument construction. I have also informally tutored colleagues who resat their advocacy and criminal litigation exams, all of whom achieved distinctions.

Sessions typically run for one hour, though I am happy to offer 90 minute sessions for students who want deeper preparation or are approaching exams.

I am a called barrister (Middle Temple, 2026) and Harmsworth Scholar with a BPC LLM with Distinction and Postgraduate Diploma in Bar Practice with Distinction from the University of Law.

I have extensive mooting and advocacy experience, having participated in multiple competitions including the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot 2026, Speed Mooting with John Dove, and the Middle Temple Young Barristers Association Debate Competition 2026, which I won as Team Captain.

My sessions are ideal for:

— BPC students needing support in Civil Litigation, Criminal Litigation, Evidence, Opinion Writing, and Professional Ethics

— LLB undergraduate students across all years

I offer flexible online sessions on weekday evenings and Saturdays.
