Economics doesn’t have to feel daunting. As a Cambridge Economics graduate with 3000+ hours of professional tutoring experience, I’ve developed proven, time-efficient strategies to help you achieve top grades and gain a deep understanding of the subject. My goal is to equip you with the skills you need to move forward with confidence—faster than you’d ever think possible.

What to Expect:
◉ Focused, Efficient Study: We target your weaknesses and provide actionable feedback to ensure every session moves you closer to your goals.
◉ Deeper Understanding: From essay writing to data interpretation, I’ll help you build a strong command of both theory and application — so you can exceed expectations in exams and beyond.
◉ Productivity Hacks: We use scientifically backed study methods to maximise efficiency outside of lesson time. This includes using tools such as ANKI, Quizlet and Google Chrome extensions. The result is less time studying but higher marks.
◉ Software and Tech: Lessons via Zoom and Bitpaper create a dynamic, interactive classroom. Google Sheets track your growth, highlight areas to improve, and guide our lesson planning.

And finally...

◉ Examiner Marking on All Assignments: Your essays and past papers are evaluated by independent examiners, providing expert, unbiased feedback on your work. This means each piece of homework becomes a clear stepping stone towards mastering the material, aligning your efforts with the standards and expectations of real-world assessments.

Above all, I genuinely love helping students transform their understanding and achieve the grades they deserve. If you’d like a trial session—just to see how it works—don’t hesitate to reach out. By the end of it, you’ll have a clear roadmap for success, and I’ll have the satisfaction of helping another student excel on their academic journey.

PS - For immediate value, try reflecting on your own writing using these three guiding questions:
(1) Does the tone and style of your writing align with the language you would use in a spoken presentation or conversation? ‍
(2) Can you imagine your teacher articulating the same idea more clearly or effectively?
(3) Would someone younger than you, without specific subject knowledge, understand your argument?

  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

My passion for Economics and Maths began at school. In this regard, I've been very fortunate to have had many inspiring teachers and smart friends. Without them, I'm not sure what I'd be up to now! As for tutoring, I began teaching while at Cambridge to supplement my income. Since then, I've kept pursuing it because it's both really fun and a powerful way to help others.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

As an economics and maths tutor, I love the interplay between the two. Helping a student tie them together is always satisfying. I'm not sure there's anything that I like to teach less! It's very fulfilling to transform less engaging content into an interesting topic for students.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

I've had a couple of really exceptional teachers. My essay tutor from Cambridge and A Level Economics teacher particularly stand out. Their knowledge, coupled with their ability to explain ideas, was inspiring. They always had the right questions to enable to me figure things out by myself. I love this Socratic teaching style because you get to witness so many moments of self-directed deep realisation.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

A systematic approach, communication skills and a deep knowledge of exams. A good sense of humour and genuine passion for the subject doesn't go a miss either!
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

I had a form tutor from Years 7-11 (age 11-16) who taught Fudoshin Jujitsu outside of school. Through 7 years of training, he took me and several of our class to achieve a black belt in our final year of sixth form. This imparted to me the potential significance of a teacher as a mentor. While I may struggle to pass on Jujitsu via webcam, I hope I can provide some fraction of the same mentorship to my students.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

For me, essay writing used to be a real challenge. I struggled with English in my early years and had a tutor for some time to catch-up to the rest of my class. At the time, I thought teachers must be randomly assigning essay marks. I saw no pattern in the marking and felt deep frustration. Since then, I achieved a first-class mark in my 10,000 word dissertation at Cambridge and grew to love the art of writing. I love speeding up this transformation for others.
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

Students' moments of realisation are my favourite part of teaching. There's nothing else quite like them.
  • What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions :-P) ?

A passion for teaching and deep understanding of how to get students from A to B. Beyond that, 850+ hours of teaching experience and 14+ glowing recommendations place me well in the market. Above all though, I just really care about students. As they improve and achieve their goals, I get a strong sense of fulfilment from the work.
