About Alex
Salut! I am an English native speaker who has studied French for many years. I've taught French for a long time -- and learnt the language myself, once upon a time! -- and so I am familiar with tricky grammar and frustrating vocabulary. I have worked on ways to make the language more accessible and less intimidating. I love working with students, building that all-important rapport, and seeing their confidence grow.
I studied French at the University of Cambridge to Master's level, and have lived in France for several years! I work with my students to make them more confident in using the language, whether to ace an exam or use French in general. I am currently pursuing my PhD in French Research in London, and am constantly working on my own French to deliver the best results possible to my students.

I typically provide 1hr lessons based around your experience and desired learning outcomes. I've worked with multiple GCSE and A Level syllabi, tailoring each lesson to the vocabulary and grammar my student wants to learn. I usually start with any questions or points raised from previous classes or work, before focusing on the areas of grammar or vocab that we want to work on in the session. I like to close the lesson with some example questions, some speaking practice if desired, and setting our goals for the next lesson.
My approach varies from student to student, from relaxed conversation practice to more focused exam preparation. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me to find out more.
