About Matt
As a student I was able to develop both my science knowledge, through lectures, lab sessions and supervisions, and my teaching skills, through regular teaching and coaching of paddlesports for the university canoe club in term time and a private centre in my summer breaks. Taking a gap-year to apply for PhD positions, I am keen to gain further teaching experience in Maths and Sciences.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge where I studied Physical Natural Sciences, specialising in Geochemistry and Geophysics for my masters degree. These subjects required a firm grounding in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Geology which I enjoy sharing with others. I structure my teaching to be similar to the Cambridge supervision: looking over the student's previous work and developing the particular areas in which they are struggling using worked examples.
