About Katie
I found the year I took my A levels (somewhat controversially) the most enjoyable year of schooling, because I thoroughly enjoyed my subjects and felt confident when it came to approaching my exams. I think that finding pleasure in the learning process really makes the concept of tests less intimidating. I would like to help other students have a similar experience to me - that they feel more secure in their learning, and get a chance to engage with the subject with curiosity, instead of it feeling completely like a chore.

I have worked with high school and university students through Outreach programmes and Summer School employment, but most of my teaching experience comes from volunteering roles. I have taught language conversation and grammar classes from 11 years old to grown adults and will happily adapt the pace and content of my classes to whatever is required. I tend to use interactive methods (big fan of competitions), and can be flexible depending on what students find most engaging.
