About Dominic
Hi, I’m a Biology tutor and a Cambridge University graduate, with a background in Biological Sciences and Biotechnology. I’ve spent over a decade studying and working in demanding academic environments, but my path into academia was not straightforward.
I was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD during my GCSEs and was advised against applying to university. By developing strategies that played to my strengths and learning how admissions processes truly work, I went on to secure places at Cambridge, Durham University, Trinity College Dublin, and the University of Alberta.
I now work in admissions support because I’ve experienced first-hand what does and doesn’t work, and I understand how transformative gaining access to a top institution can be. My aim is to help students present their abilities clearly and confidently, particularly those who may feel underestimated or unsure of their potential.

I take a personalised, student-led approach to tutoring and admissions support. I have worked with hundreds of university applicants and am dedicated to reviewing and refining personal statements and supporting materials to ensure they include the key elements that consistently lead to successful outcomes.
Over the course of our sessions, we will tailor your application to your target course and university, identifying how best to communicate your experiences, strengths, and motivation. I also provide a clear framework you can reuse for future applications, helping you understand what makes an application effective and giving you the confidence to apply independently going forward.
