I couldn't forget the Differential Geometry supervisions I had at Uni from Laurence at Cambridge. They were honestly amongst the best I had in my undergrad. It was a hard course, but Laurence gave a crystal clear and beautiful presentation. He is particularly good at explaining deep concepts with concrete examples and drawing diagrams. I also remember him showing us connections between seemingly unrelated areas of maths (curvature, topology, and complex geometry). Few Cambridge supervisors are able to do this. I also couldn't forget that whenever there was a complicated homework problem, he could always write down only two or three lines to solve it, making it extremely easy for us to grasp.

Continuing my journey as a maths PhD, I felt lucky to have been taught by Laurence.

Laurence was my tutor/supervisor for several courses during my undergraduate degree at Cambridge. I can safely say he was the best tutor I had in my time there. He was very good at adjusting the level of his explanations based on how well I understood the material, giving more or less detail depending on how well I indicated I understood the area. His explanations are clear, and if there was any step I didn't understand he would gladly explain it in more detail, in a way I could understand.

At the micro level, he was good at catching the small misunderstandings I had or nuances that I wouldn't catch. But also at the macro level, because of his breadth of knowledge he is very good at providing intuition for why some things are true and why we care about them.

Overall, he's a really great tutor. As opposed to others who would simply write down the answer to the question and expect you to understand, Laurence really makes sure you're following along and understanding. I fully recommend him.
