I am a patient, flexible teacher who enjoys new challenges. I have lived and studied or worked in France, China, Indonesia and across Canada. My hobbies include reading, yoga, swimming and playing with my three dogs. I like to have fun, laugh and learn about different cultures during our classes!

believe in the power of learning through play and always make my classes interesting and engaging for students of any age. I own an online learning company, I tutor online close reading, writing and story telling classes, and I am a guest lecturer for two Universities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. My online classes are or one-on-one with children 4-16 years old and adults 17 and older. Before I began online teaching, I worked in international schools, as a private tutor, librarian and at Outdoor Education Schools.
I study global educational research and use what a learn to create interesting, effective lessons. I take a content based approach to learning language where we use videos, texts and stories as context for learning vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. You can expect to do and listen to and take part in a lot of story telling in my classes. I believe in the power of the story, and that ultimately it is why we learn other languages.
