About Afriyie
I have a Master of Distance Education from University of Maryland University College and a Honors Bachelor of Arts-English and History and a post-graduate certificate in T.E.S.O.L. from University of
Toronto. I have been a licensed English as Second Language teacher since 2011. I have experience teaching international students, immigrants and refugees from various nations. I have taught in a private school, in the school and with an online company.

Communicative language teaching is my teaching methodology. I believe that students should learn how to use English grammar in real life situations. First, the students should learn the basic grammar rules and then they should be given the opportunity to use the grammar. For example, if I wanted students to practice the past tense, I would ask the students about their weekend. Other possible activities that can be used to practice grammar include role plays, debates and games.
