About Agnes
I am a passionate violin tutor with 8+ years of teaching experience and a track record of teaching around 300 students. I work with high school, college, and adult learners, helping them discover their potential in music.
My teaching philosophy is based on understanding each student’s pace and learning style. I focus on clear instruction, regular practice, and positive feedback. I teach both basic and advanced techniques in a simple way. One of my notable achievements is helping students improve quickly and play with confidence. I believe learning violin should be a joyful and rewarding experience for everyone.

My teaching methodology for violin combines clear communication, personalised guidance, and practical learning experiences. I adapt lessons to match each student’s learning style, level, and goals, ensuring they understand both technical and expressive aspects of playing.
I focus on posture, bowing technique, fingering, intonation, tone production, and phrasing while fostering creativity and musical interpretation. I use real-life examples such as performing familiar songs, playing with accompaniment, and exploring music’s emotional and storytelling aspects to make lessons relatable.
In addition, I teach supporting subjects like music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic keyboard skills to build a strong musical foundation. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel confident, motivated, and excited to grow as musicians.
