About Morgan
I’m Morgan Townsend, an architecture graduate with a Master’s degree from UTS Sydney and professional experience in both architectural practice and client-side project management. I also teach Design Studio at UTS Sydney. I offer private tuition and mentoring for university students studying architecture, with a focus on design studio, history & theory, and construction subjects. I provide constructive feedback tailored to your subject and assessment outline, helping you refine your ideas, improve your design communication, and strengthen your academic outcomes. Techniques & Methodology My approach is student-focused and flexible. I begin by understanding the assessment requirements and your individual goals, then tailor sessions to provide clear, practical feedback. For design studio, this might involve working through concept development, presentation strategies, or crit preparation. For history & theory or construction, I help break down complex material into structured, digestible parts, ensuring you can apply it directly to your assignments. I encourage critical thinking, iterative improvement, and clear communication—skills that are valuable both academically and professionally. Lesson Length I offer flexible session lengths of 30, 60, or 90 minutes, depending on your needs—whether that’s quick, targeted feedback or an in-depth project review. Qualifications & Experience I hold a Master of Architecture from UTS Sydney and have worked in both architectural practice and client-side project management. Alongside my professional background, I have experience mentoring and teaching university students, allowing me to combine academic knowledge with real-world application. Who My Lessons Are For My lessons are designed for university architecture students at any level—from first years developing core skills to advanced students preparing complex projects, portfolios, or University / job applications.
