About Matthew
I am a cellist and composer with performance experience across the world from Sydney Opera House to New York City. I have also performed on various TV and film soundtracks and written music for prime time TV shows. I have been teaching for 18 years during which time I have given music lessons to hundreds of students in individual lessons, class lessons and running local area string ensembles.

I teach students from beginner to Grade 8. I endeavour to foster a deep enjoyment of playing and encourage my students as much as possible to join local ensembles so that they can benefit from the social aspects that a musical instrument brings. I have lots of connections with local ensembles to this purpose.
