About Andrew
Teaching music is a joy and a pleasure, for the last two years I have been teaching curriculum music in primary schools through singing and playing music. Along side this I have been working for merton music foundation and now Kingston music service as cello teacher and ensemble leader as well as teaching piano violin and ukulele. Music has always been a cornerstone of my life and the teachers I learned from inspired the path I have traveled down.
I learned with Anna Shuttleworth, Sue Lowe, Joely Koos and Sally Pendlebury as well as partaking in many masterclasses with renown cellists such as Raphael Wallfisch, Alexander Baillie and Tim Hugh as well as many others.
I am always developing my pedagogy and strive to be the best teacher possible and delivering great technique with a great understanding of music

I have 10 years teaching experience in music. In lessons I focus on a singing and aural based approach to developing musicianship whilst setting good technical foundations to enable pupils to enjoy playing music that they would like to play.
I will usually teach a minimum of 30 minutes however can teach up to 2 hours.
I taught cello and orchestral skills for 3 years at North Leeds Music Centre and taught privately for 5 years whilst studying in London. Since graduating I worked for sing education as a whole class music teacher for 2 years, 1 year at MMF and now also KMS as Cello, piano, violin, ukulele teacher and ensemble lead.
I take on pupils between grades 1-8
