About Kaz
I was a member of the BBCSO for over 30 years.
During all that time I was teaching students and helping to run a Children's Training Orchestra.
Both my children, now adults, also play to a high level.
I would be happy to supply references from my former students, most of whom either trained professionally or participate in Music at their Universities or in the many Amateur Chamber Music or Orchestral opportunities available.
Playing the Cello is fun, hard work and oh so rewarding for the rest of your lives!

I have been teaching for over 30 years.
I teach students from about Grade 4 onwards. Many of my students follow on studying at the London Music Colleges either full time or in the Junior Departments.
I teach from my house and I encourage my students to participate in Chamber Music and Youth Orchestras.
Using Scales and studies is important for technique but always accompanied by an interesting, fun piece. We are lucky as Cellists do have a great repertoire to play and explore
Relaxation is the key for playing with real expression and musicality
I often find with busy teenagers that a fortnightly lesson works well.
I also teach adults, giving them help to progress or with Orchestral Parts
