First of all, I listen closely to your learning goals and needs and assess your current level. I aim to make lessons varied, fun, interesting and motivating. English is full of phrasal verbs and idioms and so improving your grasp of these aspects of the language will be an integral part of the teaching. Regular feedback is given online after lessons and voice recording are available to improve pronunciation skills. Both of these are offered free of charge.
Having taken my Certificate of Education, I took my CELTA qualification in 2014. Thoroughly 'bitten by the bug' I have been teaching students full-time from the ages of 6 to 60+ from many different countries online ever since. Current students are from China, Russia, Vietnam, Brazil and many European countries. I specialize in IELTS, the Cambridge exams such as PET, FCE, CAE and many more. I teach from A1 to C1 levels and for those not taking exams I support with conversational skills. I have received many recommendations and thanks from students and a few of these are on this site.
First lesson is free. Discounts offered for block bookings.

Nev is an very experienced and inspiring English teacher. Both of my 12 and 8 yo boys have benefited considerably from his teaching. Nev is particularly proficient in coaching English comprehension with vivid illustration on literacy techniques and writing skills which are vital for any certificate English examinations. Thanks, Nev!
We are very lucky to have found Nev as English Tutor for my two daughters (from Y10 and Y9). He is a very structured and organised teacher who plans lessons in advance and sends material beforehand in preparation of the lesson. The content of the lesson is specific and customised as per the needs of the improvement area or as needed based on catching up with school topics.
My both daughters find Nev to be a very friendly who explains the improvements in a very constructive ways. No wonder we are having Nev as a teacher for nearly a year now.
We thank Nev for making a positive difference.
A great teacher for English needs.
Very much recommended.
Nev speaks a very neat and clear English, letting any student understand and learn good pronunciation while feeling at ease. He will explain word meaning with examples and images helping to enrich vocabulary. He will propose readings of various genres and historical periods, bringing the student closer to English literature and culture, arousing real enthusiasm for English!
I really enjoy my classes with Nev! He’s professional, patient and organised. If you choose him as your tutor I can guarantee he will certainty achieve your needs.
First, Nev has never missed a class and always has been on time. He tries to spend class time fully every time and even doesn't mind teaching a few more minutes. Second, he prepares teaching materials that is a great help to me every time. Finally he is very kind and understanding.
I had the fortune to begin doing class with Nev 2 months ago, and I am really thankful to him.
Speaking from my personal experience, I could realize he is talented, passionate, and experienced teacher from the first class. He has been adapting the class and the material to my needs.
Not only is supporting me with many useful resources or activities, but he is also making the classes open to my convenience. Therefore, we may choose together which type of homework we are going to do: listening, reading, speaking, word transformation.
I absolutely recommend him!!
Nev is the best teacher who has ever taught me. Thanks to him, my English language skills have improved a lot. I recommend him to anyone who wants to learn English from a native language teacher.
My son has had a dislike for English throughout school and I only wish he'd had a teacher like Nev. My son has enjoyed every session and I have seen his confidence in English grow week after week. Wholeheartedly recommend this enthusiastic tutor.
Nev tutored my son for three momths before the GCSE exam. His remarcable knowledge, his energy and passion, his outstanding teaching skills gave my son the tools, the confidence and the motivation to learn more and to succeed. His mock grades increased from a 3 to a 5 in these three months, his attitude towards learning English in particular changed completely and permanently. Nev passion and vast subject knowledge had a great impact also on how my son prepared for all his exams. I consider myself lucky to have such an amazing tutor for my son.
