About Carmen
I grew up in a bilingual home in Dublin (English and Romanian) and I think this is where my love for languages really started. I continued to study French, Spanish and Irish at more proficient levels and also took starter courses in many different languages for the experience.
I started teaching as a volunteer when I was 17 and never looked back. I love teaching English and watching my students reach their goals is my inspiration. I’m very dedicated as I know how important English can be for so many people both personally & professionally.

My goal is always to help students use real English in their lives. My lessons have a strong communicative focus and typically last between 30 - 50 mins.
My lessons are for anyone looking to improve their confidence, expand vocabulary and build conversation in English comfortably.
I have a degree in translation & linguistics (French & Spanish) so I understand firsthand what it’s like to learn a new language. I know it’s challenging and at times scary, so I want to help you with you!
I’m both TEFL & CELTA (Pass A) qualified and have over 4 years experience working with teenagers and adults of all ages (seriously! My oldest student was 73) and of many different nationalities.
