About Philip
I believe in teaching strong technical foundations to allow my students the freedom to express themselves without the physical aches and pains so frequently associated with piano playing. I am also committed to giving my students as wide a variety of classical repertoire as possible to assist in producing a complete and well-rounded musician.

Central Edinburgh-based piano teacher specialising in the teaching of advanced and dedicated children from age 10 and above, and of adults with an advanced level of ability looking to seriously pursue their study of the piano. I am a tutor at the renowned St Mary's Music School and also work for both the University of St Andrews and Future Talent, a charity supporting talented children across the UK. I hold a Master's degree with distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music and previously studied at Chetham's School of Music.
