About Valerie
I’m a current elementary classroom teacher with over 10 years of experience. I’ve seen firsthand how challenging a busy classroom can be and how hard it sometimes is for kids to get the individual support they really need. That’s why I love tutoring — it lets me slow down, meet each student where they are, and give them the focused help that builds confidence in reading, phonics, and math. Parents and students can count on patient, supportive lessons that are all about real progress.

Every child learns differently, and I’ve seen how tough it can be in a busy classroom for kids to get the individual support they need. My lessons are designed to meet students right where they are and help them move forward with confidence. I break challenging concepts into manageable steps, strengthen foundational reading, phonics, and math skills, and build on what each student already knows. My goal is to create a supportive, encouraging space where students feel comfortable taking risks and making real progress.
