About Jaehyeon
With four years of experience teaching Korean, I am dedicated to creating engaging, immersive learning environments that help students thrive in both language and cultural understanding. Teaching Korean outside of Korea presents unique challenges, but I see it as an opportunity to provide authentic experiences that make students feel as if they are learning in Korea itself. My experience as a translator and cooking assistant at the YMCA in Daegu, where I introduced foreign students to Korean culture through hands-on cooking classes, further reinforced my belief in the power of cultural immersion. I am a Certified Korean Language Teacher with over four years of experience in academic institutions and language schools. A typical 60-minute lesson follows a clear structure: Warm-up (review) → Presentation (new grammar/vocabulary) → Practice (guided speaking/listening/reading tasks) → Production (free conversation or writing) → Wrap-up (feedback and preview). I use a wide range of resources—including textbooks, multimedia, and authentic materials like songs, news clips, and drama scenes—to enhance learning and motivation.
