About Jones
Hi, I’m Jones, a certified musician, vocal coach, songwriter, pianist, and guitarist with over 10 years of experience in music performance and education.
I trained in music through Segero School of Music between 2013-2016, where I focused on voice, piano, guitar and music theory and composition and developed my foundation in performance and musicianship. I have since continued to refine my skills through practical experience in live performance and studio work.
Professionally, I have been involved in numerous live performances, recordings, and music projects across Nairobi and Nakuru, Kenya serving as a lead vocalist, pianist, guitarist, and music director. I have performed at events and venues such as and collaborated on projects including Music Concerts, Album Launches and YouTube Live Sessions contributing to both individual and group-based musical productions.
As an educator, I have over 10 years of experience teaching voice, piano, guitar, and music theory to students of all ages and levels. I have taught in Tehilla Music, in Kenya since 2017, and another online platform since 2023 as well as through private coaching, working with both individuals and groups. My teaching focuses on vocal health, technique, pitch accuracy, confidence, and musical expression, using a student-centred approach tailored to each learner’s goals.
In addition to teaching, I actively mentor aspiring musicians in songwriting, performance, and artistic development, helping them build confidence, stage presence, and their unique sound.
