About Mar
Hello,
I am a certified teacher from Canada with 10 years of experience teaching all subjects to all elementary and middle-school grades (kindergarten to Grade 8). I am bilingual in English and French and have qualifications to teach French immersion (all subjects), as well as for Special Education.
My lessons are tailored to individual students; I target their specific academic needs and incorporate their interests into each lesson. I pride myself in creating captivating lessons that will help students to reach their academic goals. Your success is my success! My teaching experiences have taught me the importance of creating healthy, safe, and supportive classroom environments. To me this means being aware of the individual needs of each learner, encouraging classroom collaboration, and creating an environment where we model the ethical standards of care, respect, trust, and integrity. I have found that enthusiasm and positivity help motivate students to do their best and I believe that student voices and interests should be incorporated into their learning. For these reasons, I pride myself on creating supportive classroom communities and implementing creative and inspiring lessons for my learners.
